Kunming

Kunming is the capital of Yunnan Province, China. It is known as the “City of Spring” because it has no scorching heat in summer, cold in winter, and pleasant weather. Kunming is located at a latitude close to the tropics, with an altitude of 2,000 meters, which gives it a mild and pleasant climate. However, it still snows here in winter, so if you go in winter, remember to bring warm clothes. Also, when it rains, it is also a little cold.

Although the streets with heavy traffic will have excessive waste pollution, the air here is cleaner than other cities in China. The population of Kunming has exceeded 10 million and the city is still expanding rapidly. Thanks to the favorable climate, flower farming is an important industry here. There is also a large botanical garden worth visiting for the flower show and flower market.

In addition to its own beauty, Kunming, as the first stop for tourism in Yunnan, is also a transit point to the tropical paradise Xishuangbanna. It has a world natural heritage-Yunnan Stone Forest.
